Singapore households will enjoy lower electricity and gas bills from January to March 2025 due to declining energy and fuel costs. Grid operator SP Group announced a 3.4% reduction in electricity tariffs, lowering rates from 29.10 to 28.12 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh) before GST. An average four-room HDB household could save $3.58 monthly. Electricity tariffs are calculated using factors like energy import costs and power station operations. Additionally, City Energy revealed a slight drop in gas tariffs from 22.97 to 22.72 cents per kWh. These adjustments reflect ongoing efforts to pass savings to consumers amid fluctuating energy markets.
