PAS Penang Information Chief, Muhammad Fawwaz Mohamad Jan, stated that the party is awaiting the court’s decision on Siti Mastura’s application to defer and reduce the payment of damages. He added that PAS is aware of the potential bankruptcy notice that could be filed against Siti Mastura if she fails to pay the court-ordered damages. “If the payment is not made, a bankruptcy notice will be issued, and if declared bankrupt, Siti Mastura will lose her eligibility as an MP, triggering a by-election,” he explained. Previously, it was reported that Siti Mastura could face disqualification if declared bankrupt.
