Any development in Kampung Baru will consider its history and land status to preserve it as a Malay village, said Dr. Zaliha Mustafa, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories). The move aims to maintain the traditional Malay village while promoting development in federal territories and the capital city.

Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani emphasized keeping the land in Malay hands. The 125th-anniversary event highlighted the importance of preserving Kampung Baru’s uniqueness and fostering community cooperation.
