The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) removed 63,652 pieces of fraudulent online content last year, a significant increase from 6,297 in 2023.

Many scams involved ‘Investment Guru’ schemes. Teo emphasized the need for AI-generated content to be clearly labeled to prevent deception.
