The Ministry of Transport (MOT) will establish a special task force to address heavy vehicle safety issues, said Minister Anthony Loke. Chaired by MOT Secretary-General Datuk Jana Santhiran Muniayan, the task force will implement policies and involve various stakeholders.
MOT Forms Task Force to Tackle Heavy Vehicle Safety
Following a fatal accident on December 23, Loke emphasized refining vehicle inspection procedures and enhancing enforcement. The ministry will also review laws and improve training for heavy vehicle operators.
