Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been granted leave by the Court of Appeal in a 2-1 decision to initiate a judicial review of his sentence in the SRC International Sdn Bhd case. This relates to his appeal for a “royal addendum” order that could allow him to serve the remainder of his jail term under house arrest. A letter from the Pahang palace, confirming a royal addendum issued by the former Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, was presented to the court by Najib’s lawyer, Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.
