PUTRAJAYA, Jan 8— Over 30% of Malaysian jobs will face disruption from artificial intelligence (AI) within the next decade, warns Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang. Key sectors like manufacturing and IT will transform significantly, requiring over 600,000 workers to reskill within five years and 500,000 more skilled workers by 2030.

The Malaysia Board of Technologists’ (MBOT) Professional Development Certification’s Technology and Technical Professional Development Council (TPDC) will ensure short courses align with global standards in fields like cybersecurity and data analytics, bridging skill gaps for Industry 4.0 readiness.
