Natasha is first Malaysian woman to win at World Cup

National bowler Natasha Roslan made history by winning the IBF World Cup women’s singles title in Hong Kong, defeating Germany’s Birgit Noreiks in two games (217-166, 226-169) at the Kai Tak Sports Park. The 28-year-old is the first Malaysian woman to claim the title since the competition began in 1972. This marks Natasha’s second world-level title, following her singles gold at the 2023 World Championships, which earned her the 2024 National Sports Award for Women Athlete of the Year. National teammate Syafiq Ridhwan Abdul Malek won the men’s title in 2012.
