Malaysia’s Home Minister, Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, confirmed that his son is under investigation for criminal intimidation, following a woman’s claim that he threatened her after she asked him to take responsibility for her seven-week pregnancy. Saifuddin stressed that no one, including his son, is above the law and vowed transparency. Police revealed that the minister’s son had married the woman in September 2024, and verification of the marriage certificate is ongoing. The investigation, classified under Section 506 of the Penal Code, has been submitted to the Deputy Public Prosecutor. Authorities assured that justice will be served without favoritism. The son is a PKR member.
