According to the Meteorological Service Singapore, Singapore recorded its warmest year in 2024, tying with 2016 and 2019, with all months surpassing long-term temperature averages. April 2024 was the hottest month, with a mean temperature of 29.4°C, matching the April 2016 record. July 2024 was the second warmest, setting a record with a mean of 29.3°C and a daily minimum of 27.1°C. December 2024, despite being cooler, was the warmest December on record, with a mean of 27.7°C. The year saw 21 high heat stress days, with the highest WBGT of 34.4°C recorded in March and May.
