Tragic Deaths and Miraculous Escapes: A Series of Vehicle Plunges in Johor

In separate incidents across Johor, three men tragically died after their car skidded into a retention pond at Ladang YPJ, Ulu Sedili. The victims, aged 49, 72, and an unidentified man, were pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, two women narrowly escaped drowning when their Perodua Myvi was swept into a monsoon drain in Kota Tinggi in January 2024. Bystanders rescued them just in time. In another miraculous escape that happened in September last year, a 22-year-old man emerged unscathed after his car plunged into a three-meter-deep storm drain in Johor Baru. Authorities urge caution amid wet weather conditions to prevent similar tragedies.
