The child’s meals consisted of nuggets, sausages, and cookies, with no vegetables or fruits. Early signs of Vitamin A deficiency, like dry eyes and difficulty seeing in dim light, were missed. The good news is that this condition can be prevented with proper nutrition, including foods like spinach, carrots, and sweet potatoes.
