KUCHING – A multi-vehicle crash on Jalan Teo Kui Seng-Stutong Baru claimed five lives, including two teenage passengers in a car driven by an unlicensed 16-year-old. The crash occurred on Jan 14 when the teen lost control, veered into the opposite lane, and collided with two cars and two motorcycles.

Three men and a woman died at the scene, while another victim died during treatment. The teen driver, who sustained neck injuries, has been detained. Kuching MP Dr. Kelvin Yii urged parents to educate children on road safety and called for stricter measures to prevent future tragedies.
