Denis Law, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 84, was an iconic figure in football, particularly known for his tenure with Manchester United. He made his debut at just 16 years old. His talent was quickly recognized, leading to moves to Manchester City in 1960 for a then-British record transfer fee of £55,000. Dennis Law returned to Manchester, this time to join United for another British record fee of £115,000. He spent 11 remarkable years at United, becoming one of the club’s all-time greats. Scored 237 goals in 404 appearances, making him the third-highest scorer in the club’s history behind Wayne Rooney and Bobby Charlton. But it is the goal he scored versus Manchester Utd that became a sad iconic moment.
