Malaysia’s men’s doubles shuttlers Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsani secured a semi-final spot at the India Open with a dominant 21-11, 21-17 win over Taiwan’s Lee Fang Chih and Lee Fang Jen in just 33 minutes. This victory marks their fourth win in five encounters against the Taiwanese pair. They join four other Malaysian pairs in the semi-finals, including mixed doubles duos Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Jemie Lai and Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei, women’s doubles Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah, and men’s doubles Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik. Goh and Nur Izzuddin will next face the winners of a quarter-final clash.
