Malaysia’s top men’s doubles pair, Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsani, made history by winning the India Open Badminton Championship, a Super 750 event, defeating South Korea’s Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae in a thrilling final. The duo, seeded third, triumphed 21-15, 13-21, 21-16 in a 52-minute battle at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, New Delhi. This victory redeems their early exit at the Malaysia Open last week. Sze Fei-Izzuddin earned USD 70,300 (RM316,700), while the runners-up took home USD 33,250 (RM149,836). The win marked a stunning comeback after losing momentum in the second set.
