Gerakan Kuasa Rakyat Malaysia (G57) plans to sue a group of individuals for RM1 million over allegations of assaulting a mentally disabled man at a farmers’ market in Chukai, Terengganu. G57 chairman Datuk Zulkarnain Mahdar said the lawsuit aims to send a strong message against abuse of vulnerable groups, especially the disabled. The 47-year-old victim reportedly crashed his motorcycle into a stall, triggering a confrontation where he was beaten by several men. The victim sustained injuries and received outpatient treatment. Police have since arrested three individuals aged 18 to 60 for investigation under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting.
