The KLIA Aerotrain project has missed another deadline, with Transport Minister Anthony Loke revealing it will not meet the expected completion date of January 31, 2025. Despite claims of “next-gen technology,” delays persist and no launch date is confirmed. 

KLIA Aerotrain Project Misses Another Deadline

The project faced scrutiny after a major breakdown in March 2023 left 114 passengers stranded. Progress has been slow, drawing criticism from the public and authorities. Minister Loke expressed dissatisfaction with the contractor. 

While new trains have arrived, they are still being tested. MAHB reassured the public that the project is “almost there” and emphasized safety.
