Malaysian X users are debating whether students from higher income brackets (T20) should receive scholarships. While some argue these scholarships should be reserved for B40 students, there are a number of users defending the eligibility of higher income students for these scholarships.

An X user states if a scholarship is open to everyone, then those who are able to win it should reap the benefits of it. However, certain scholarships that are targeted for the lower income groups should not be disturbed by those from a higher income background.
Another user adds that scholarships are not government aids for those underprivileged. It is a merit based system where the best qualified would receive it.
