With the Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution insisting that those organising rallies must request permission from land owners, there has been a flurry of attacks against the PH regime on social media. Many are accusing the former street champions who use to sleep on roads to participate in rallies of betraying the cause of freedom of speech in Malaysia. Most of the PKR-PH MPs are very silent on the matter with the exception of Adam Adli who seems to support the rights of the students to organise a rally and did not mention any need for permits or permissions. While he departs from the party line, Rafizi have also shunned questions on the rally asking the media to look for answers on any ban to the responsible minister.
