Malaysia continues to be a top destination for Chinese companies expanding overseas, according to MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong. He noted that China has been Malaysia’s largest trading partner for 15 years, with bilateral trade reaching a record high of USD212 billion in 2024.

Dr Wee shared these remarks during a Spring Festival reception hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, highlighting the 50th anniversary of Malaysia-China diplomatic relations celebrated last year. He emphasized the importance of economic ties, tourism, and cultural exchanges in strengthening mutual understanding between the nations.
