A 31-year-old man has been detained for allegedly threatening comedian Harith Iskander, his ex-wife Dr. Jezamine Lim, and their children. The threats began after Harith’s controversial social media post about a “ham and cheese” joke.
Man arrested
Dr. Jezamine, who is also Harith’s manager, reported receiving a message with a photo of their children and a death threat. Police classified the case under Sections 506 and 509 of the Penal Code and seized the suspect’s phone. Following these threats, Harith’s show at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (DFP) was canceled to ensure the safety of his family and attendees.
