On the first anniversary of Najib Razak’s pardon for SRC International corruption, four NGOs stated that the former prime minister does not deserve clemency. They criticized the decision to reduce Najib’s sentence by 50% and his fine by 76%.
NGOs Reject Clemency for Najib Razak, Demand Justice
The NGOs emphasized their stance against corruption and rejected any leniency for Najib. They warned that such actions promote corruption and create a two-tier society.
The NGOs also demanded transparency in any house arrest laws and urged the Attorney General to refile charges against Najib in the IPIC case involving RM6.6 billion.
