A mother and her three children narrowly escaped after their new electric car exploded into flames outside their home in Worcester. Awakened by a loud bang, she saw flames reflecting in her neighbor’s windows and quickly evacuated with her children and dog. The 2024 Peugeot, which was not charging at the time, was completely destroyed in the blaze. Firefighters arrived after midnight and battled the fire for over an hour. The explosion caused damage to a nearby wall, leaving debris scattered. The traumatised family is now left shaken, questioning how their nearly new vehicle could suddenly ignite without warning.
