Following this success, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (MOTAC) is considering revising its Visit Malaysia Year 2026 target of 36 million tourists. MOTAC aims to generate RM150 billion in tourism revenue by increasing per capita tourist spending.
Large-scale campaigns will highlight premium tourism experiences to attract high-spending tourists. Malaysia aims to become a global tourism leader with sustainable economic benefits.
