Police to Use 3D Scanner for Crime Scene Reconstruction in Teoh Beng Hock’s case

Shah Alam, 5 February 2025 – The police will utilize 3D Scanner Technology to digitally reconstruct the scene of Teoh Beng Hock’s death, which occurred 15 years ago at Plaza Masalam. Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain stated that while the location’s structure has changed over time, the technology aims to provide a clearer picture of the possible incident. The results are expected within two weeks.

Additionally, five special teams have been assigned to the case, with over 40 witnesses identified for questioning. Some witnesses may be difficult to locate as they have left the country. The police aim to complete the investigation before May 2025 and will consult the public prosecutor before submitting the case to court.
