A Malaysian woman cut her trip to Japan short due to difficulties in receiving proper treatment for severe Influenza A and pneumonia. Her vacation began on January 5, 2025, but her condition worsened by the second day. 

Malaysian Woman Ends Japan Trip Early Due to Medical Treatment Issues

She faced challenges in buying an asthma inhaler and seeking medical attention. By January 8, she struggled to breathe, speak, or walk. 

Diagnosed with pneumonia and Influenza A, she refused a week-long hospital stay due to high costs. Despite her condition, she managed to return to Malaysia. The hospital bill amounted to RM15,000, highlighting the high cost of medical care abroad.
