The government has dismissed the opposition’s claims of a snap general election at the end of the year as a cheap political gimmick. Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim, Political Secretary to the Finance Minister, stated that the government remains focused on economic recovery, integrity, and administration. He criticized Perikatan Nasional (PN) for constantly pushing for a change in government instead of playing a constructive opposition role. Kamil accused PN of creating public anxiety and sabotaging government efforts. He made these remarks during a school aid program, where over 500 students from low-income families received school supplies and financial assistance.
