The Malaysian government has reaffirmed its dedication to enhancing global perceptions of its governance efficiency and transparency, according to the office of the Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN).

In a statement, the office emphasized that the 2024 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) will benchmark Malaysia’s goal to be among the world’s top 25 nations by 2033. Transparency International Malaysia reported that Malaysia retained its 57th position in the CPI for the second year.

The government continues to strengthen integrity, transparency, and good governance, with a Special Task Force on CPI, led by KSN Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, driving reforms since October 2024.
