Former minister Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom testified in Najib Razak’s 1MDB trial, claiming he overheard a private conversation in 2010 where Saudi ruler King Abdullah allegedly promised financial donations to Najib’s personal account. Jamil Khir described their relationship as fatherly, stating the funds were meant to support Malaysia’s stability and Najib’s political position. He claimed King Abdullah insisted on depositing the money into Najib’s personal account to avoid complications. Najib has maintained that RM2 billion received in his account was a Saudi donation, not 1MDB funds. But the problem is the dead King can’t testify if Najib was like his son.
