UMNO Youth Chief Datuk Dr. Muhamad Akmal Saleh fired back at former Malaysian ambassador to the U.S., Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, who accused him of securing his state Exco position through sycophancy. Akmal insisted that he was elected by the people, not by pleasing leaders, and noted that Nazri had not contributed to his campaign.
Childish
Nazri had earlier criticized Akmal as immature for calling him a “bootlicker” after he claimed no one was fit to be prime minister if Anwar Ibrahim were gone. Akmal responded that he’d rather be “childish” than an old man who survives by flattery.
