Police Seize Over 29,000 Litres of Smuggled Diesel in Sibu

Police seized over 29,000 litres of subsidised diesel worth more than RM63,000 in a raid on a storage premises in Jalan Ding Lik Kwong. The operation was conducted by Sarawak Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK) and Sibu district police headquarters (IPD).

Police Seize Over 29,000 Litres of Smuggled Diesel in Sibu

Sibu district police chief, ACP Zulkipli Suhaili, stated that 10 suspects, locals and foreigners aged 30 to 50, were arrested. The total amount seized is estimated at RM575,693.50.

The case is under investigation by the Sibu Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN). Zulkipli emphasized the importance of mastering new technologies in law enforcement.
