Malaysiakini journalist B Nantha Kumar was released this afternoon after four days in remand over alleged bribery charges. He left the Putrajaya MACC headquarters around 3 pm, accompanied by his wife and Malaysiakini executive editor RK Anand, who posted RM10,000 bail. Nantha is accused of receiving RM20,000 from a foreign worker agent in exchange for not publishing articles exposing a cartel. He has been with Malaysiakini for seven years, reporting extensively on immigration syndicates.
