A medical officer lost RM86,200 to a cryptocurrency investment scam after being lured by a WhatsApp group, according to Kuala Terengganu police. The 39-year-old woman joined the group in October last year and was persuaded to invest in Twyae Global Exchange.

She made five transactions totaling RM86,200 but was later blocked from withdrawing her supposed profits. Realizing the scam, she reported it to the police.
The case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code. Authorities urge the public to verify investment schemes with relevant authorities to ensure legitimacy.
