According to the Global Passport Index, our passport is ranked number 9 in the world. Relatively, both Malaysia and Singapore are the only Southeast Asian countries in the top 10 list, making these two passports highly desirable. 

Malaysia’s passport increased in rank 

Many are excited that our country has increased in passport rank. We can visit 116 countries visa free now. However, we’d still need a visa to enter the United States and Canada, which could be one of the few reasons why our rank isn’t increasing as much.
