DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has vowed a bold reset of the party’s central executive committee (CEC) if re-elected on March 16, 2025. Speaking to Malaysiakini, Loke outlined a major leadership reshuffle aimed at rejuvenating DAP by assigning fresh roles to different leaders. This reset, he emphasized, isn’t about targeting individuals like chairman Lim Guan Eng but fostering renewal to tackle new challenges in it’s second government term. Loke, also the transport minister, seeks to avoid complacency despite the party’s strength, pushing for dynamic strategies and adaptability. The reset hinges on his re-election, promising a revitalized leadership structure for the party’s future. Some say there are fierce battles for vote between traditional leaders and other camps for power in the party that will decide its future.
