As our society progresses, aging has also advanced. Decades ago, the average lifespan of a Malaysian was around 50-ish years old. Now, the average is 77 years old. However, an X user showed concerns that 7 out of 10 Malaysians have less than RM1,000 in savings. 

Users concerned that 7/10 Malaysians have less than RM1,000 in savings 

Additionally, users add that those earning RM3,000 and below will most likely have difficulties in terms of spending power. Buying necessities are significantly more expensive in recent years and thus has proven difficult for a Malaysian to save money. 

A survey done by RinggitPlus a few years ago states that not many are able to save money. Over 52% over 18 years old have not found any way to invest whatever savings they do have.
