Authorities have been cracking down on those who neglect fasting obligations during Ramadan. In Tikam Batu, Kedah, a restaurant raid by religious enforcement officers led to several customers fleeing, leaving their food behind. 

Restaurant Raid in Kedah Targets Ramadan Fast Violators

Four individuals were detained and issued notices under Section 14 of the Syariah Criminal Offenses Enactment 2014 for disrespecting Ramadan. 

Ops Plastik Hitam was conducted after identifying the eatery as a hotspot for such activities, with intelligence revealing it operated from 8 am and allowed dine-in services despite claiming to sell food only via delivery. The detained individuals were asked to report for further investigation.
