The Penang Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) seized RM36,642 worth of counterfeit luxury goods in a raid at Perda yesterday. The operation, based on a Public Complaints Bureau report, uncovered fake Louis Vuitton, YSL, Gucci, Balenciaga, and Chanel products.

A total of 171 items, including handbags, shoes, wallets, and headscarves, were confiscated, along with business documents for investigation.
The raid violated Section 102(1)(c) of the Trademark Act 2019. The premises’ owner, a local woman, was summoned to assist in the investigation. The operation involved representatives from Global Trade Shields and highlights ongoing efforts to combat counterfeiting.
