In Malaysia, there are a number of street vendors selling their snacks/food on the side of the road. However, some appear to have a less pedestrian friendly way of running their business. The original poster, X user @ZacZakirin13 states that the prices of the meals on offer are about RM8-10. For most Malaysians, such prices are not cheap. Another user adds that these vendors are not paying for electricity, water and rent. Hence, such prices are not entirely justified.
There are those who justify the actions of these vendors citing this is the way they’re making money. However, the original poster responded by saying, what about the rights of the people who need to walk on these sidewalks?
