Over 2.2 Million Vehicles Expected Daily During Festive Peak

PLUS Malaysia Berhad anticipates over 2.2 million vehicles daily on its highways during the Aidilfitri festive peak from March 27-29 and April 4-6. Chief Operating Officer Datuk Zakaria Ahmad Zabidi highlighted preparations including traffic management, MyPLUS-TTA app usage, and enhanced facilities.

Op Selamat will run March 29-April 3, alongside roadwork halts and heavy vehicle restrictions. Smartlane routes at 28 hotspots will ease congestion, with over 5,000 PLUS personnel deployed. Zakaria noted the East Coast Expressway 2 (LPT2) expects 70,000 vehicles. Authorities identified accident-prone spots, with police deployment details to follow during the Op Selamat launch on March 23.
