A peculiar topic of discussion is rising among a few Malaysians. Apparently, some users feel that they should boycott home loans as they claim the banks are less than kind to some of their customers. Additionally, a 30 year commitment is a long time, anything can happen between these decades.

An X user states that taxes, home maintenance, are applied to the homeowner, despite the bank being the technical owner of it. Another user adds that the consumers should boycott getting these loans, and the industry may change. 

Others add that banks do not handle these homes as they’re not going to rent them out, and other things homeowners would do. This is concerning to some users as this is how banks all over the world operate their business.
