At a breaking of fast event in Petaling Jaya, Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Muhyiddin Yassin expressed confidence that his coalition could outperform the current unity government. He highlighted PN’s potential to address pressing issues like stagnant incomes, rising costs, and subsidy cuts, which he said have left people struggling. Reflecting on PN’s past governance during the Covid-19 crisis, Muhyiddin claimed his administration effectively managed the pandemic, revived the economy, and supported citizens with initiatives like loan moratoriums and EPF withdrawals. “They tell me that if it wasn’t for these initiatives, a large number of them would not have been able to carry on,” he said.
