In Kuala Lumpur, a masked man armed with a pistol robbed a gold shop inside a Kota Damansara supermarket on Saturday at around 5 pm. Wearing a hooded jacket, he pointed the gun at staff, grabbed jewelry, and fled in a car. The shop had one customer and three employees present. Petaling Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Shahrulnizam Jaafar confirmed the incident to Bernama, promising a media statement soon. The suspect, a local man reportedly stole seven trays of jewellery, valued at an estimated RM2 million, from the shop’s display racks. He is now in custody.
