In Kuala Selangor, Muafakat Nasional Deputy President Tan Sri Noh Omar warned DAP against meddling in the proposed 10-year limit for the Prime Minister’s term, arguing it’s a sensitive issue tied to Malay rights. Speaking at an Aidilfitri event in Tanjong Karang, he stressed that while the Constitution doesn’t mandate a Malay PM, convention and the social contract reserve the role for Malays. Noh suggested that if the Constitution is amended to cap the term, it should also ensure the PM is a Malay Muslim, citing Selangor’s state laws. He urged DAP to stay out, saying Malays don’t need lessons on ruling.
