In Kedah, PAS Youth Chief Ustaz Nasrun Othman dismissed Umno Youth’s criticism of PAS, arguing that their vocal stance against DAP is futile. Responding to Umno Youth leader Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh’s jab at PAS’s past alliance with DAP, Nasrun questioned why Umno’s boldness hasn’t shifted DAP’s controversial positions today. He credited PAS’s firm defense of Islamic principles for driving DAP out of Pakatan Rakyat, while asserting Umno lacks the clout to sway DAP within their current coalition. “Umno’s courage is just a fly (lalat)to DAP leaders,” he said, echoing DAP’s own dismissive words, not PAS’s.
