In the last few years, the cost of eggs has increased in price significantly. However, it seems that now, the prices are stabilising. For the price of RM5.90, such prices are relatively unheard of, especially in Klang Valley. But, many are posting such prices all over social media.

Others added that grade d eggs are reducing in prices. Some cost as low as RM2.95 for 30 pieces. Countries like the United States on the other hand are facing the exact opposite problem where groceries are relatively unaffordable for the masses.
