The Kuala Terengganu City Council (MBKT) has directed all supermarkets, hypermarkets, and shopping malls to remain closed on the first day of Hari Raya, Monday, March 31. Fast food outlets, retail stores, convenience shops, and department stores are also required to close from 12am to 1pm on the same day.

MBKT issued the notice via Facebook, urging businesses to comply and warning of legal consequences for violations under council laws. The directive emphasizes solidarity and respect for Hari Raya celebrations while ensuring compliance with municipal regulations to preserve the holiday’s sanctity.
