SINGAPORE, April 3, 2025 – A tragic tale of cruelty ended with Foo Li Ping, 29, sentenced to 19 years in jail for the relentless abuse and death of her four-year-old daughter, Megan Khung. For over a year, Foo and her boyfriend, Wong Shi Xiang, 38, subjected Megan to horrific torment in their Paya Lebar condo—caning, starvation, and humiliation, forcing her to sleep on a balcony and eat from a dustbin. Wong’s fatal punch in February 2020 killed her, and the couple burned her body, scattering her unrecovered ashes. Wong received 30 years and 17 cane strokes, leaving a heartbroken community mourning Megan’s stolen innocence.
