On April 1, 2025, a gas pipeline explosion in Putra Heights damaged 190 homes, injuring many and causing widespread chaos and fear.

In response to the devastating gas pipeline explosion in Putra Heights, Yayasan Kebajikan Negara (YKN) deployed its mobile counselling unit to provide psychological support to victims. With over 400 affected individuals, emotional distress emerged as a major concern.

Professional counsellors, NGOs, and agencies like JKM are aiding victims, addressing unique needs through a personalised request system for items such as baby supplies and power banks.

Donations, including RM20,000 raised so far, are helping secure essentials and aiding long-term recovery efforts. Volunteers are sorting contributions efficiently, while YKN stresses structured aid distribution to prevent resource wastage and maximise impact.
